Projects
Galaxy Ring
Developed a wearable health tracking device with advanced features including sleep monitoring, heart rate tracking, blood oxygen (SpO₂) support, and stress assessment, alongside exercise and activity tracking and intuitive gesture recognition. Enabled Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication for seamless data synchronization with mobile apps, and designed a smooth out-of-box experience (OOBE) for easy initial setup. Implemented FOTA (firmware over-the-air updates) to keep the device up to date, and managed sensors, battery APIs, and flash memory efficiently using LittleFS and NVS file systems, ensuring reliable data storage and real-time performance for an engaging and user-friendly health tracking experience.
Galaxy Ring Plugin
Developed the Galaxy Ring Plugin for Android using Java and Gson, serving as a bridge between the Galaxy Ring wearable and the Samsung Health application. Designed to handle heavy health data processing, reliable BLE communication, and seamless data synchronization, while optimizing for battery efficiency and a smooth, responsive user experience.
Galaxy Fit3 Plugin
Developed the Galaxy Fit3 Plugin for Android using Java and Gson, enabling seamless collection of health and activity data from the Fit3 wearable. Built a reliable BLE communication system to synchronize metrics like heart rate, steps, sleep, and workouts with Samsung Health, ensuring users always had up-to-date insights. Handled data parsing, background updates, and intermittent connectivity gracefully, delivering a smooth, responsive, and user-friendly experience.
Wearable Weather Application
Developed the Samsung Weather application for Galaxy wearable devices using Tizen, C/C++, and EFL, providing real-time, location-aware weather updates directly on smartwatch screens. Integrated Curl for fetching remote weather data and implemented interactive widgets along with features like current conditions, hourly and multi-day forecasts, animated day/night backgrounds, sunrise/sunset data, and contextual weather insights. Designed the app as a weather data provider, enabling other apps such as watch faces, alarms, and notifications to access weather information seamlessly. Optimized for limited wearable resources, ensuring smooth performance, low power consumption, and reliable BLE synchronization with paired mobile devices, delivering an engaging and highly integrated user experience.
